should take thinking very seriously, not only because we need to understand our
faith and our world, but because god has given us the gift of reason and gifts
are given to be used. too often
it’s thought that faith is the opposite of reason or a suspension of reason.
no: christianity is the completion and ultimate destination of reason.
christianity has many mysteries but no secrets.
mysteries are not things alien to reason but rather things too deep for
reason ever to get completely to the bottom of and which god invites us to spend
our whole lives exploring with our hearts and our minds.
